Hinduism was a religion that originated in India. It is one of the worlds largest religion with many followers. The followers of a certain time period went by a book called the Vedas. Veda means knowledge or truth. The people then created a caste system. That is when many people split from Hinudism and the belief systems of Jaoism and Buddism started. Cows in the begging of the of Hindiusm were not sacred and many people did eat them. It was until the sixth centruy when cows became sacred animals. Reincarnation was introduced to the people when the Upshinads became known to the people. Many people were thought to go through reincarnation and wanted to achieve moksha so they would not have to go through the painful process of reincarnation.
